Freeware - Revo Uninstaller

Saturday, October 17, 2009

I am going to start a collection of links that will involve all the best freeware programs I come across.

Hence the name "freeware," all these programs are 100% free and I am sharing the links to them because they work so well and are extremely useful. They are "must-have" applications.

I'll share one link now: Revo Uninstaller.

Revo Uninstaller is an amazing utility that can uninstall programs and remove any traces of them on your computer, even if the uninstaller is corrupted or missing. This means getting rid of junk files it leaves over as well as registry entries. It also comes with a disk cleanup tool that can find a lot of junk on your computer and delete it.

One of the coolest features of this program is the Hunter Uninstall Mode. It allows you to turn your cursor into a little crosshair, and any program you target will be uninstalled. Don't worry, though, it requires your consent to uninstall anything, even if you click it by accident.

So stop using Add or Remove programs and click here to download Revo Uninstaller for free. You won't regret it.

The Fallen Soldiers

Saturday, September 5, 2009

I know it's been a while since I've updated the site. But, I have good news. I have joined a group called the Fallen Soldiers, and we're basically the best Guitar Hero and Rock Band players ever.

We currently do not have an official YouTube channel or website, but stay tuned for updates.

Right now, my good friend is posting our videos on YouTube. I really think you should subscribe to him; he is a really good drummer and he has good videos. Plus, the more subscribers we get, the better chance we have of getting more sponsors. Here's his YouTube channel.

We are currently working on getting sponsors, and we already have one: the Six Feet Deep clothing company. They have awesome merchandise, and I would recommend checking out some of their shirts. Click here to see their website.

Guitar Hero 5

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Sorry I haven't updated the site in a while. My computer has been having problems lately with the BIOS and all that.

On a better note, Guitar Hero 5 is coming out very soon. It's going to be a great game. Watch this video of an E3 review, and you'll see what I mean:

The coolest thing about this is that if you pre-order now, you'll get Guitar Hero: Van Halen, the unreleased game, absolutely free. Click here for more details.

Wolfram Alpha

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Wolfram Alpha is a site focused on gathering data on just about everything. This site truly is a "computational knowledge engine."

This site uses some pretty advanced technology: it can compute and display data about just about anything you type in.

Try visiting Wolfram Alpha and typing in some things. Try typing in any math equation, like "x+5^2+y^2=32, y=x^2-7" and you will see the solution to the problem. Type in any location, like "Washington, D.C." to learn things about it. Type in any website, like "" to learn where their servers are based and how much traffic they get to their site.

All I can say is that this site is really cool. You can use it for school, personal research, or if you're simply wondering about something. I highly recommend paying this site a visit.

Armor Games

Monday, August 10, 2009

One of my favorite things do do when I'm really bored is just play a nice simple game in my web browser. The site I visit most to do this is called Armor Games.

Armor Games is one of the biggest Flash game sites, and it really is fun to play games there when you have nothing else to do. Or who knows, maybe you'll visit because it's your favorite thing to do.

The best game on Armor Games right now, in my opinion, is called GemCraft Chapter Zero. In this game, you must use mana to build and combine powerful gems to place them in towers and traps to defend your wizard tower from dark forces. If an enemy reaches your wizard tower, you must use mana to banish the monster from your tower. If you run out of mana, you lose the battle.

Not too long ago, I found a site called JamLegend. I believe it is the next best thing in music games. Please, I highly recommend signing up to this site. Do so by clicking here.

The site is very similar to Guitar Hero or Rock Band, and you can play with your keyboard, or plug in a USB guitar controller.

Some of a few good things about this site are its massive selection of songs that grows every day, the ability to upload your own private songs, the social networking involved (integration with Facebook and Twitter, as well as a Meebo chat toolbar), and the fact that it is completely free.

In other news, I am now actually a tracker for JamLegend. A tracker is one of the people who chart out the notes to a song. To become a tracker, you have to apply, and it takes a lot of work.

DH SharpCurve Font

Friday, August 7, 2009

I have been working on creating a font for quite some time now. Now, it is finished. I call it "DH SharpCurve." To download it, click here.

To install a font, first unzip the font to your My Documents folder then copy it into C:\WINDOWS\fonts. If you're still having trouble, go to and search 'how to install a font.'

Here's a sample:

Hi, my name is Brandon, and I run the site here at, a place where you can find many interesting things that I come across, or many interesting things that I make myself. A lot of these things will pertain to music games, like Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Here's a few things about me. I am one of the best Guitar Hero players in the world. Go to to see some of my awesome videos with some nice shredding skills. Also, I am very adept with computers. I made this entire website from scratch. To see a small amount of the coding I put into this, click View, then click Source in your web browser. Another interesting snippet about me is that I have a 4.0 grade average, and I also have jumped 500 times in a row on a pogo stick before.

I hope you enjoy the new site, and you should certainly find many parts of it interesting.
